ITEC Reflexology Diploma consists of two units including 5 core subjects:
Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology: This unit may be studied either before or in conjunction with the Reflexology Unit (see course dates). Inlcudes a Less Common Pathology Assignment and a theory examination. Students who have A and P already must provide a copy of their certificate on enrolment and check that it is to an accceptable level
Reflexology Theory and Practice including case studies and 3 Assignments
Course Content:
Theory:
- History and concepts of reflexology
- Anatomy and Physiology of the hands and feet
- Disorders and conditions of the hands and feet
- Reflex points and zones
- Clinical observatiion
Practical:
- Examination of the feet
- Application of treatment to hands and feet
- Consultation and client care
Case Studies, Treatments and Assignments
- 40 case studies (10 clients x 4 treatments)
- 60 individual treatments (planned to be performed mainly in house during the course)
- Less Common Pathology Assignment
- Business Plan Assignment (New therapists only)
- Health, Hygiene and Saferty Assignment (New therapists only)
- Complementary Therapy Assignment (New therapists only)
Examinations
- Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology Theory examination - 50 Multiple choice questions - 1 hour
- Exam fee £90 payable on Module 2
- Practical examination - Consultation and treatment - One hour
- Presentation of Case studies; Assignments and course work folder to the examiner
Course Books and Equipment
- 2 Towels (bath sheets)
- Antibacterial chemical hand wash
- Antiseptic wipes (Tea Tree or Lavender)
- Lever arch folder for course work
- A4 Folder for case studies and assignments inlcuding dividers and plastic wallets
- Black or white uniform tunic or dress (see links for list of suppliers)
- Please note: students will not be permitted to join practical sessions without a uniform
