Devon Academy is located in historic Paiges Lane in Barnstaple's Town Centre, close to the High Street. Barnstaple is North Devon's premier town offering a host of pubs, restaurants, shops, accommodation and entertainment and only a short drive from the coast
By Car:
Main route to the South West is the M5. Leave the M5 at junction 27 (signposted Barnstaple & Tiverton) then at roundabout take 3rd exit onto A361 (signposted Barnstaple, Tiverton). At next roundabout take 2nd exit onto A361 (signposted Barnstaple). Continue on A361 for approx. 27 miles. On reaching Barnstaple take 2nd exit onto Eastern Ave. and follow signs for the Town Centre. Car parking is available close by Devon Academy (see local map)
By Rail:
The Tarka Line runs from Exeter to Barnstaple, and is the only main rail line in North Devon. The service on the line runs seven days a week, operated by Wessex Trains, with an interval of typically one to two hours between trains. The service is less frequent on Sundays. The branch line connects with the main line at Exeter St Davids. Longer distance trains runs from Exeter to London, Birmingham, Plymouth, Cornwall, Bristol, Cardiff, The North and Scotland.
By Coach:
National Express together with the local bus network DevonBus serve Barnstaple with a regular daily bus service.
By Air:
Fly into Exeter or Bristol airport. Follow directions as for rail or car.
